Situated in Lamorna Cove, known as Place by the Sea, this beautiful two-storey stone cottage overlooking the river in Lamorna is famous for having been built from the timbers of The Oriental, a ship which foundered off Lamorna at this time.

Inside:

• Style: Exposed stonework, characterful beams and neutral colours combine to create an idyllic Cornish cottage atmosphere
• Bedrooms: 4 bedrooms: Choose from the master bedroom complete with exposed stonework, four-poster king size bed and balcony overlooking the garden, or two double bedrooms upstairs (sharing a family bathroom). Downstairs, there's a bright and airy nautical-themed twin adjacent to the shower room. There are an additional two camp beds for any children in the group.
• For relaxation: Curl up infront of the woodburner in the sitting room in colder months, relax on the deck during the summer. The nearby hotel has a lovely spa where you can book beauty treatments.
• Practicalities: Utility room with washing machine, dryer and even a supply of wellington boots!

Outside:

There’s a feeling of real privacy in the verdant gardens, through which a river trickles. Enjoy a summer BBQ in the garden before working off your food with a brisk walk beach-ward to dip your toes in the sea at Lamorna Cove.

You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to eateries in Penzance, or visit the Old Coastguard hotel, located in picture-postcard Mousehole.

• This is a great base for walking and cycling, there are a superb choice of long or short walks in the immediate vicinity.
• Some of the most beautiful gardens of the UK are situated in West Cornwall, with the tropical Trewidden, Trebah and Trengwainton gardens a short drive from the property
